Tasmania has a temperate climate quite similar to the UK, with four distinct seasons and none of the intense heat experienced elsewhere in Australia. With long, light evenings and pleasant temperatures, the summer months of Dec-Mar are perhaps beast, though the west coast rain forests can be wet year-round. The inland mountains receive a dusting of snow each winter.
