Southern Vietnam is generally hot year round wit the hottest period being March – May. Rainfall peaks May- November typified by short, heavy afternoon downpours. Central Vietnam is usually dry from May – October and wet from December-February. The North experiences four seasons; Summer (May-Oct) is hot and wet with regular downpours., Jul-Aug are the hottest months; Winter (Nov-Apr) is usually dry, cold an humid, temperatures can fall to as low as 8° from Dec- Jan.
